Repeat after me… Use IE to edit this site…
As you can quickly see I am playing with the theme. I thought this one looked good with the header that E_Dragon added to the site. Of course as soon as I changed the theme the header when away so I ended up having to reload the header. Oops…
So what do you think? I was going to wait for my co-conspirators to give me feedback, but it’s been quiet around here today and I got impatient. It’s just a trial run to see what it looks like. I hope this post saves this time. I have written this twice in Netscape, before remembering I need to use IE. Yeah a little slow…

It’s certainly … different.
Very bright.

yep… it is definitely not goth… At work the sides are pretty dark (almost black). At home it is a blue. I think it’s my browser at work. The GAP site is darker here also. I have to highlight the text to be able to read it.

Yes, the sides are very blue in my browser … I use I.E. The center is quite a bright white.
Don’t mistake me, I don’t dislike the look at all. I’m afraid that some of my comments may come off a bit down since I’ve been in a poor frame of mind these last couple of weeks. It’s not my intent, I assure you.
Frankly, I wish that WordPress would allow for us to tweak the CSS without having to pay for an upgrade. That sort of irks me. There are some nice designs, to be sure, but I think that some of us could find a better balance with a hand behind the scenes.
Still, I think that you and Dragon are doing a very nice job with what we are given.

I think we can tweak the CSS a little without having to pay. There is an edit CSS. From what I read you can’t change the style (or theme), but can make some slight changes (I think). We may be able to mute the white background a little. I’m not a CSS expert, but it is something I should learn. I may play with that a little. I’m sure NIAC knows more about it.

I think that the CSS bit you can tweak is just so you can experiment – basically a teaser to what you can do if you pay, but the changes can’t be saved to the actual site. I’m pretty new to this, though, so I may be wrong.
I’m using Firefox to edit, no problems at all, have you tried it as an alternative?

I think I want to check out the theme Benevolence with the banner that we have. I will leave it like that for a day or until a Caretaker wants to change it back. Please let us know what you think of it.

I’m not sure why, but this new theme seems to disable my avatar picture … and only mine. =/
It’s been that sort of month for me. LOL.
Oh, well, at least it still works for the comments.
*Edit*
Never mind about my avatar … it seems to be something with WordPress.
~sigh~

Glad to see you are back, your avatar that is. =) I have been messing with the theme and banner too much. I almost want to go back to the original one.
=)

I think this looks pretty good. I had to wait until I was home to look at it because everything at work looks dark. I would like to see what NIAC thinks when he is back from vacation.

Also I think that banner looks kind of cool now.

It doesn’t look bad – I don’t like the way the links (like in the RSS feeds on the left) don’t stand out. I know that some visitors will be happy that it is not black background with white/gray text.

We had a different theme up for a little bit (Neat theme). I can’t remember now how the RSS feeds looked in it. It had blue sides and the links were on the right.

Yeah… I went directly to the comments from my home browser that doesn’t log in automatically. I realized it just before submitting my comment, but I was too lazy to go back and log in…
